Paris by DAY, Paris by NIGHT

Our second day in Paris was packed with adventures. After breakfast, we took a coach to see the Eiffel Tower which was followed by a two hour guided tour of the city.

We ended our guided tour in an area near the Notre Dame. The entire group squeezed into a money exchange building to get a hold of some euros! Once we officially bought into the eurozone, we set out for lunch. Nutella crepes were among the favorites today.

Once lunch ended, we were given time to explore Norte Dame and the surrounding city streets. Notre Dame was followed by the Louvre. The crowd encircling the Mona Lisa was intense. We had to push our way through the tourists in an attempt to get a semi-decent looking photograph. I must admit that many of mine are blurry. So, I'm hoping your students were more successful than I.

Dinner was served at Flam's. We ate a pizza like dish that came with both savory and sweet toppings.

Dinner was followed by: Paris After Dark. We took a lovely boat cruise and we were pleasantly surprised when sparkling lights lit up the Eiffel Tower at 9 pm. When the clock struck 9 and the lights came on you could hear all the children screaming with excitement. We also had a chance to walk up to the Eiffel Tower to touch it and take up close photographs.

We ended our night with an after dark tour of Paris via couch. The city certainly had charm during the day, but it is at night that one witnesses the true romance of Paris.

We've just walked in the door and must get to sleep! Alarms will go off at 5:30 am tomorrow!

Off to Spain we go...
